Our new course list includes the following, which can all be booked as full or half day courses.
1. Introduction to Disability Awareness
This is the ideal starter course for all front line staff and managers. Can be taught as a full 1 day or 2 half day sessions

This course is aimed at professionals and front line worker who want to find out what may be going on behind the scenes with families who have a disabled child and how they can assist.
4. How disability affects family life (2)
A follow on course for professionals and front line workers that looks at the benefits that should be available to families with disabled children and what they mean in real life

Can be either the non accredited bespoke course or the accredited Signature/CACDP Deaf & Deafblind Awareness course (20 hours tuition)
8. An introduction to British Sign Language BSL (taught by a Deaf & a hearing tutor)
9. Deaf Blind Awareness
10. Visual Impairment Awareness
11. What is a learning Disability?
12. Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorder
13. What are Hidden Disabilities
14. Communication Strategies
15. Confidentiality, Dignity, and how Child Protection may differ for a disabled child.
16. Producing communication aids with “Communicate in Print”
We are happy to supply courses at your premises or our training rooms at the Marlowe Innovation Centre.
